Before eating a clean diet

Since my diagnosis in 2005, I've suffered from the debilitating effects of Multiple Sclerosis (MS). I resisted changing my diet for 15 years, until I hit rock bottom with my health...

Over 12 months after eating a clean diet

I decided to graph my MS relapses to see whether the changes
in my diet had really had an impact... 
The results were incredible!
Clean eating has had such a positive impact on my MS symptoms and overall health, but it was a difficult road!

It's TOO HARD because...

It's always easier to say I'll start the diet "tomorrow"or next week, or the week after... but often that day never comes...


After all, you don't want to miss that special date or birthday or lunch...

You feel like a prisoner in your own body, you struggle with fatigue every second of every day... It's so debilitating...

The energy and effort to prepare healthy meals ongoing is too much...

You know that eating well requires lots of thinking, planning, preparation, shopping, cooking, wasted food and cleaning up!

It's exhausting just thinking about it! Where do you even start?

You've tried all this before, but you don't know how to change. After all, you have eaten this way since your early childhood...

The research behind everheal

We analysed 15 different dietary recommendations compared to the paleolithic diet to see if we could find the common links for what constitutes a healthy, anti-inflammatory diet...

Our analysis indicated that ~70% of overall recommendations were the same (shown by all the green boxes in the table above). The results confirmed a lot of what we already know:

  • Eat more vegetables - 100% of diets recommended this, including the Australian Government Department of Health and the Autoimmune Protocol (AIP) diet!

  • Reduce/eliminate refined sugars and processed foods  - 100% of recommendations also agreed with this!

The goal of an autoimmune-friendly diet is to

reduce inflammation and support a healthy gut!

The Autoimmune Protocol (AIP) diet is considered to be the "gold standard" when it comes to dietary recommendations for autoimmune sufferers. Although the results from people who have strictly undertaken this diet are amazing, it is a more restrictive version of the paleo diet, and is therefore quite difficult for people to adhere to (especially long term).

Was there a diet that could provide great results but was less restrictive?


After doing further research into the "foods to avoid" we developed our list of recommendations that we find to be both manageable and effective:
